Course Description

Incorporates and builds on concepts introduced in MUS. 106. Through four-part chorale writing, analysis and music composition, students continue studies in functional tonal harmony. Topics include: introduction to chromatic harmony; secondary/applied chords; modulation; borrowed chords; introduction to Neapolitan and augmented-sixth chords.
