Health Services Fee

All students, except high school students or those registering exclusively for Saturday, Sunday, or off-campus courses, are required to pay a $21 Health Services Fee each semester for day or evening classes, or $18 for each summer session. This fee provides campus health services and medical coverage for injuries incurred while the student is on campus or attending an off-campus, College-sponsored event.

Students who receive a California College Promise Grant will automatically be exempt from the health fee. Students who depend exclusively upon prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or organization may petition to be exempted from paying the health services fee. Please go to the SMCCCD Student Forms link (https://smccd.edu/studentforms/) to find the Extenuating Circumstance(s) Form and return the complete form to Admissions and Records. 

International Student Health Insurance Fee

F-1 International students will be charged a mandatory health insurance fee each semester. The health insurance fee cannot be waived.

The Health Services Fees are as follows: 

• $2,202 Full Year (Paid by semester)
  • $917.50 Fall
  • $1,284.50 Spring and Summer
