Health Services Fee

All students, except high school students or those registering exclusively for Saturday, Sunday, or off-campus courses, are required to pay a $21 Health Services Fee each semester for day or evening classes, or $18 for each summer session. This fee provides campus health services and medical coverage for injuries incurred while the student is on campus or attending an off-campus, College-sponsored event.

Students who depend exclusively upon prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or organization may be exempted from paying the Health Services Fee. A petition for a Health Services Fee exemption may be obtained from the Admissions and Records Office, Building 9, first floor, or by calling (650) 306-3226.

International Student Health Insurance Fee

F-1 International students will be charged a mandatory health insurance fee each semester. The health insurance fee cannot be waived.

The Health Services Fees are as follows: 

  • $1,560 Full Year (Paid by semester)
    • $650 Fall
    • $910 Spring and Summer

Addendum to Board Policy

The San Mateo County Community College Board of Trustees has temporarily suspended Board Policy 8.74, section 2c, for Spring term 2021 through May 2021. Students enrolled in online classes during the Spring 2021 semester will be charged Health Services Fee.
