Program Overview

The Art Department affords a unique experience for students seeking a solid foundation in aesthetics, skill development, and understanding of the forms and history of art. The program has been designed to offer a continuity of study through structured courses in the academic tradition. This understanding of art history as a means of understanding the world is intended to support further studies for transfer students.

ART 102 Late Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque Art History
ART 103 History of Art from the Baroque Period to Post-Impressionism

Selective Courses, choose 9 units from the following:

General Education - certified completion of one of the following:
  • California State University General Education-Breadth pattern (CSU GE Breadth),
  • OR
  • Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC/CSU) pattern
