Student Life provides support and guidance to recognized student clubs; plans campus events; hosts workshops; creating Student Body Cards, and provides housing assistance, transportation assistance, clubhouse rentals, free speech assistance, posting assistance, participatory governance experiences, and game room rentals. The department functions as an information and resource center for leadership development, community service, social and cultural activities.

Student ID

Student IDs, also called Student Body Cards at Cañada, are processed at the Center for Student Life and Leadership Development in Building 5, Room 354. In order to receive a Student ID and become eligible for the many benefits it has, students must pay the $15.00 Student Body Fee during the fall and spring semester. This is an optional fee. Choosing not to pay this fee will automatically disqualify any student from receiving a Student Body Card. Request for refunds must be made by the Final Fee payment due date of each semester.

Student Handbook

The Student Handbook contains information about student organizations, college services, college rules, student rights, student disciplinary due process procedures, and Cañada’s staff and governance structure. The handbook is available on the Welcome Center webpage.
